With the opening of Jones Day’s Munich Office in 2003, the Firm significantly expanded its capabilities and reach in Germany.  The Munich Office has grown steadily to a full-service operation and now has more than 30 professionals.  Our attorneys advise the Firm's international and German clients on the full range of matters relevant to leading corporations doing business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.  The Munich team is integrated into Jones Day’s global organization of more than 2,500 lawyers in 32 offices.

These practice capabilities are complemented by industry specific experience in the automotive, chemical, pharmaceutical, information technology, and renewable energy sectors.  The Munich patent prosecution team assists clients in protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights by filing applications and prosecuting and litigating patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
