Coordinator, Technology Support Services (TSS)

Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


The Coordinator, Technology Support Services (TSS), is responsible for the technical and operational oversight and support of the Firm’s hardware and software systems as well as provide managerial support to the TSS staff in the Brussels office. The Office TSS Coordinator is expected to demonstrate initiative, set priorities, ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments, and ensure compliance with Firm and Office policies and procedures. The Office TSS Coordinator is also required to maintain expertise in the tasks and services provided by the Firm TSS Department and to work on tasks as assigned to support the department. All requisite job duties of the Office TSS Coordinator are expected to be performed with a commitment to providing superior service to clients, producing quality work products, and maintaining an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement. Above all, the Office TSS Coordinator must fulfill the needs of the Office in a manner consistent with the Firm's visions and values.

Required Qualifications:

  • Position requires a four year college degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Bilingual or multilingual – must be proficient in English; French and/or Dutch; additional language skills a plus (e.g. German).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a computer-related field.
  • A highly developed and practical sense of law firm technology requirements, including end-user and client needs.
  • An understanding of Microsoft Windows Server hardware and software.
  • An understanding of and experience in dealing with local area networks, cabling, electrical systems and other infrastructure components (e.g., computer room HVAC, UPS, security systems).

Operations Specialist, Technology Support Services (TSS)

Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Operations Specialist, Technology Support Services (TSS), provides support for the Firm’s systems as assigned. The TSS Support Specialist is responsible for resolving problems escalated from the Help Desk, and other TSS teams, communicating with end-users, documenting resolutions and known technical issues, monitoring the integrity of various networks and systems, assisting engineers and developers with engineering resolutions or developing "bug" fixes and system enhancements, interfacing with various groups within TSS, and participating in Firm technology projects as requested. The TSS Support Specialist will accept responsibility for technical problem resolution decisions on assigned systems/applications. Flexible working hours may be necessary to meet the Firm’s objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • University-level degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and/or equivalent working experience and one to five years of general Technology experience.
  • Working knowledge on network architecture and operations. Understanding of layer 2 and layer 3 network services. Knowledge on router, switch and firewall setup and configuration is beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, 802.11.
  • Experience using Domain Name Services (DNS) in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Experience in application testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
