The Amsterdam Office offers paid internships in a variety of practices to law students from Dutch universities in the final year of their LL.B. or LL.M. We assign interns to a team of lawyers or a particular project, taking into account individual perspectives and timing restraints. All legal interns are invited to attend our internal training programs and seminars. We welcome interns all year round for flexible durations.
The Amsterdam Office does not have positions for J.D. students from U.S. law schools.

Trainees are vitally important to the future of the Firm. Amsterdam Office trainees have the opportunity to begin building and shaping their careers as international lawyers. We seek exceptional individuals from Dutch universities who are ready to seize opportunities, are enthusiastic about our culture and clients, and, given support, will carve out a career for themselves.
Trainees work under a partner's supervision in a cooperative environment, as part of an interdisciplinary team. All trainees take part in The Netherlands Bar Association's formal training program. Jones Day participates in the Law Firm School. Trainees also take part in the Jones Day training program.
