Trainee Rewards reflect the importance Jones Day attaches to the trainee role as well as the trainees' contribution to the Firm's business. Current salary rates and benefits (for indicative purposes and subject to changes or increases in line with the Firm's annual salary review policy) are shown below.

Salary Increase

Trainee Salaries           

  • Start at £52,000
  • After 12 months: £59,000
  • On qualification: £105,000
   

Benefits

Law School Sponsorship
Jones Day will pay your fees to undertake face to face tuition for each of the PGDL and Fast Track - LPC at BPP law school in London  - as well as a maintenance grant of £10,000 for each of the PGDL and the Fast Track - LPC.

   

Six month Gap
The Fast Track - LPC at BPP Law School takes place between mid August and end February each year, but our 12 month maintenance grant of £10,000 remains unchanged; so you can choose how to spend your remaining 6 months before your Training Contract commences in early September.
