Billing & Collection Services Regional manager (Greater China Area)

Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Regional Manager of Billing and Client Services is responsible for, and oversees the work of, the assigned Billing and Client Services (BCS) staff to ensure timely billing and collection performance. The Regional Manager works closely with the Director to mentor, coach and manage the BCS staff, and participates in the hiring and performance evaluation process. Responsibilities include monitoring unbilled fees and costs and accounts receivables, and collaborating with billing lawyers to ensure timely billing and collection. The Regional Manager oversees billing assignments and otherwise coordinates the work of the BCS staff to ensure compliance with the Firm’s billing and collection policies. The Regional Manager will maintain the required expertise related to all billing matters, and will work with the Director to implement changes to the Firm’s billing procedures. Occasional travel to other regional offices will be required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Four year college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum five years supervisory experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience using legal billing systems, Elite and Aderant Legal Billing preferred.

Business Development & Communications Coordinator

Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Coordinator, Business Development & Communications (BD&C) is responsible for supporting the business development efforts of Hong Kong office with a primary focus on events planning and execution. The Coordinator, Business Development & Communications will develop an understanding of the Hong Kong office; its culture, strategic direction, practice mix, and primary industries in the local market. The Coordinator, Business Development & Communications will work closely and collaborate with lawyers in the Hong Kong office. The Coordinator, Business Development & Communications reports directly to the Regional Manager, Business Development & Communications and the Firm Associate Director, Business Development & Communications. In performing this role, the Coordinator, Business Development & Communications is expected to demonstrate initiative, set priorities, ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments, and comply with Firm policies and procedures. The Coordinator, Business Development & Communications is also expected to assist in other BD-related functions, including for example helping with tracking of client interactions and client targeting, and with the preparation of internal BD-related documents. The Coordinator, Business Development & Communications is expected to perform all job duties with a commitment to producing quality work product as part of a global team.

Required Qualifications:

  • University-level degree.
  • Minimum three years of experience in a business development and/or marketing role in a business and/or professional services environment.
  • Minimum three years of experience in event planning and coordination.
  • Ability to fluently to speak, write, and read English and Mandarin Chinese.
  • Excellent proficiency with CRM and email marketing software.
